Volunteer Opportunities 

Children's Hospital Los Angeles has had over 500 volunteers 

each year volunteer in different parts of the hospital.

The volunteers at Children's Hospital usually assist in 

hospital play rooms and also at the bedside of the child who 

is in care of the hospital. They play board games, and read to

 the children ( requires 10 hours of individual training). The 

volunteers at Children's hospital are not allowed to shadow 

nurses or doctors and are not allowed to take vital signs or 

observe procedures.
